The city of Troy, Michigan has long prided itself as being the
"City of Tomorrow Today." Commuters along the I-75 corridor recognize
Troy as the home of Big Beaver Road...Exit 69.
Legend states that Big Beaver Road was named after settlers found a lodge
of beavers living in a nearby creek. To this day, descendants of the original
colony can be seen throughout the city when you "Get off on Big Beaver."
